- Configure webhooks and use the API within your authorized subscription tier
- Customize your organization’s branding and display settings
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Service to:
- Engage in illegal activity including fraud, harassment, defamation, or distribution of illegal content
- Infringe intellectual property by uploading copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary content without authorization
- Access other organizations’ data or attempt to bypass the multi-tenant isolation of the Service
- Circumvent subscription limits by creating multiple free accounts to avoid tier restrictions, manipulating feature gates, or exploiting billing logic
- Scrape or extract data from the Service through automated means without authorized API access and a valid API key
- Collect personal information from players or participants in violation of applicable privacy laws
- Interfere with the Service by introducing malware, conducting denial-of-service attacks, exploiting vulnerabilities, or degrading performance for other users
- Distribute cheating tools or answer-sharing automation that undermines fair play in trivia events
- Impersonate other users, organizations, or TriviaTies personnel, including by registering subdomains or custom URLs that mimic third-party brands or trademarks
- Use the Service for spam including bulk unsolicited messages or automated account creation
3. Content Guidelines
All content you create or upload through the Service (trivia questions, media, team names, event descriptions) must comply with the following:
- No hate speech or discrimination: Content must not promote hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
- No illegal content: Content must not include child exploitation material, content that promotes terrorism, or material that violates applicable laws
- No deceptive content: Content must not be intentionally misleading in a way that could cause harm
- No explicit content without context: Adult content is permitted only when appropriate for the audience and event context (e.g., an adults-only trivia night), and must not violate applicable laws
Content responsibility: Organization administrators are responsible for moderating content within their organization. TriviaTies does not pre-screen content but may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this policy.
4. API and Webhook Usage
If your subscription tier includes API access and webhooks:
- Respect the rate limits for your subscription tier (displayed in your API key settings)
- Do not configure webhooks that target third-party systems without proper authorization
- Do not use the API to export data in bulk for the purpose of building a competing service
- Service accounts must use API key authentication, not session-based authentication
5. Enforcement
We may take the following actions in response to violations of this policy:
- Warning: For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and request corrective action
- Content removal: We may remove specific content that violates this policy
- Suspension: For serious or repeated violations, we may temporarily suspend your organization’s access to the Service
- Termination: For severe violations or failure to remedy after warning, we may permanently terminate your account
In cases of suspension, your data will be preserved to allow for appeal or data export. We will provide notice of enforcement actions where practicable, except where doing so would compromise the security of the Service or other users.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@triviaties.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
